LED lighting in a hotel

Lighting is a very important factor in creating a welcoming environment, especially in the hotel and hospitality industry. Well-matched lights make customers feel comfortable and safe, and can encourage them to stay longer or re- visit.

Lighting accents strongly affect customers’ perception of the place, especially in hotels where they are used in a variety of applications, such as: reception area/lounge, check-in counters, restaurants, bars, cafes, glass façade lighting, window displays and signage, elevator and paving lighting, pool deck lighting and others.

LED strips lights are now becoming a very popular choice for hospitality venues. Their versatility and low energy consumption, make them an eco-friendly alternative to traditional lighting options. Other advantages include: long life-span, low maintenance requirements and high color rendering index.

LED strips  can be incorporated discretely into existing design or used to completely transform the space. They are easy to install and come in a variety of sizes and colors. Some products can even be programmed to produce color sequences. The number of lights on a strip can also vary helping to create various effects.

As there is a variety of choices available, LED strips can serve well various hotel spaces, from luxurious boutique hotels to chain type or economic venues. They can be matched to the specific building features and hotel surroundings.

LED strip lights can be fixed to bar counters, or installed above the reception area. For modern spaces more unconventional applications can be applied – for example LED lightings can be embedded into a welcoming carpet leading to the check-in area or they can be installed on the ceilings. Mood-enhancing LED lamps can be introduced in the shower rooms.

Some of the most creative uses of LED’s in hotels have to be some of the big casinos in Atlantic City, NJ and Las Vegas, NV.  In both places, where flashing lights are a must, designers can use LED lighting to transform the entire building, incorporating light shows and even videos to the entire facade of the building.

LED strip lights can be used to enhance the visual appeal in formal spaces such as meeting or conference rooms as well as add color and fun to the hotel entertainment areas.
