We all know that cheaper is not always better. When it comes to lighting, there are a lot of cheap solutions that you can use for your home, office, or business, but when looking at lighting you have to consider the life-time costs not just the up-front costs. When people read the statistics we give about reducing energy consumption, longer life time, etc.. most people have a hard time believing it’s true and I get that… we manufacture it, so ofcourse we are only going to highlight the positive aspects.
So the other day I came across a blog post by a remodeling company that did their own case study. Not only did they prove our statistics to be accurate, but they provided detailed facts and figures from an un-biased point of view. For their case study they used a restaurant in Savannah, GA that had used rope lights for years to accent their restaurant. Since it was in a prime spot, their lights basically ran 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. While the average home or business probably wouldn’t use them as frequently, it was a great study to show exactly how much energy and money could be saved.
The great part about their case study is that they provide detailed facts and figures broken down by Operating Costs, Installation, and Annual Maintenance. The final results…. LED lighting ended up being 1/2 the cost over a 10 year period!
To read the entire case study and see just how much money would be saved, here is a link to their post: http://www.savannahrenovations.net/Blog.php?post=11
